Good idea. If credit gets slippery just leave id around as easy access. LOL

Great post.  I never thought about it before now but several years back, somehow, someone managed to use my credit card to spend a lot of money on fashions.  "Fashions" from stores that I had never frequented or even heard of.   Now you have me wondering if they bought the clothes in my size.  LOL

Gee, I wonder if any of these identity thieves want to be me so bad . . .

. . . that they'll take over responsibility for the out-of-control debt that's driving me to bankruptcy.

Any takers out there?

Hello?

They should try working for thier money. I wonder what happened to chain gangs for those who steal other's hard earned good? I am glad you haven't needed the credit. It is a violation to one's being. I am sorry it happened to you.

I know how u feel; I had a breadin some years ago, and a thief got my
checkbook;  he wrote check through the three state area;  I had one real difficult convincing a merchant in Ohio that I would not drive two hundred miles to shop at his liquor store, enticing as may be his wares.  Bad checks bounced for some year.  Luckily I had notified the police and actually did not lose any money.  But I haven't tried to get credit anywhere since.  And that was ten years or more past.

I believe all our criminals would think twice if the justice was more toward all or nothing, we pamper them most of the time. be blessed.

Thanks for the read and comment. Yes many would like not to ever have them. I would only want to give mine to someone else if they stole my identity, that is a very bad thing.

You feel violated. It did not happen to me. We did get an account cleaned out by someone at a restaurant where we ate once. I felt violated, yes it hurts your heart even as it is bad on the financila but the personal damage is not about numbers but pain that there are people like that.

It is truly incredible how people don't care at all to take from others anything right up to their lives just for greed and/or pleasure. Sorry lot!

That is sinking to the bottom of the barrel when one steals a disabled parking ticket. Terrible. Thanks for reading.

Identity theft - just don't steel my money, steel the wrinkles, the illness, the whole ball of wax.  I like that thought.  Maybe the thieves would think twice if it was an all or nothing choice.

Two years back someone stole my numbers and was able to remove 5 thousand dollars from my bank account. It broke my heart but I was able to recoup some of it. As you suggested, I wish they were able to steal the broken heart that came when I discovered my account had been tapped into...

Re: SO YOU WANT TO BE ME, HUH?

Justi,

Wouldn't it be wonderful and probably would stop a lot of identity theft too if all our illnesses and everything about us just automatically went to them when they stole our ids?  Well not everything; they still shouldn't get all that we have worked for but really if they want to be us so bad our illnesses and all our bad things like the gray hair and wrinkles blindness or if we have to use crutches or a wheelchair shouldn't they have too as well?

Great thoughts that you have there!

Justi my "man who draws' had his disabled parking ticket
stolen for the car on the weekend. Now we are the ones who have to prove again that he needs it and it was genuinely stolen. No these things make us mad.

Thank you so very much for all of your kindness. No it did not happen in general. We ate at a restaurant one night with a debit card and someone cleaned out our account. But it is a sign of our times and it is evil. The Lord says when evil much abounds peace much more abounds, I know it does but there is much to contend with no. Blessings upon you and yours.

Wow Justi, powerful and wise message! Way to tell 'em

I dearly hope this hasn't happened to you; so many nightmare stories about identity theft abound. I think all of us are way too vulnerable  -  pretty bad when banking and credit institutions expose our information on a regular basis.

Blessings and Light, dear Lady.
