It is disturbing how people come here to comment and lose the premise of a writing. I think you are on target. George Bush is in hold-out mode. He will plead every kind of ignorance and excuse if he is allowed to exit office unindicted for war crimes and crimes against humanity. The Constitution of the United States of America is not a frivilous document.

I agree with you that Iraq is and has been a losing proposition. However, I don't agree with you characterizing patriotism as redneck. I consider myself a patriotic American although I oppose our involvement in Iraq. Bush supports the illegal immigrants. He supports the Senate agreement that was reached on Thursday. Apparantly, you agree with that. See, you have something in coomon with Bush.
