Comments on Quality vs. Quantity?

My thoughts: I'm a blabber
Quantity is what I like to think of as practice, I'll write anything and I'll write lots of it. Most of this is self professed garbage though and I would never dream of showing it to someone. The things that I do like to share and show off are the stories that are rare, the ones that tend to showcase the things that I've learned form writing the garbage. The best way to refine your skills as a writer is to write, and I fully agree that most writers get better with age. They become more disciplined and they have a full life of experiences to draw from. They also have deeper insights into the human mind and therefore have more developed characters. I often get frustrated when people think that lots of description is good story telling, this is not the case. Well developed and well rounded characters create good story telling, the rest is just fluff. :)

I fully agree with you.I would pick quality over quantity anytime.Quality makes a writer not how much he can write for such unknown reasons.

I heard to cure writer's block is simply to keep writing until
all of a sudden, you get inspired. Probably some~many masterpieces were produced that way.
