sannhet - I can say that Tommy Hearns cured me from sports betting
My bets back then were little league stuff, winning $50 was a big deal, probably why I remember the no mas fight so well. But with Tommy Hearns, I bet on him and against him 5 times, losing every time. I had $20 on Pipino Cuevas when Hearns destroyed him, I had $20 on Hearns when Leonard beat him and so it went.

Gome -
Yeah, I lost on the first one, but won on the second too. Won when he faced Hearns in the "Showdown" as well.

Talion - despite how I quite often give these people a minor beating

I never lose sight of the fact that ultimately I feel sorry for them. Life has to be very difficult for someone with such views that only by sheer accident ever find themselves touching base with reality. This man claimed to be 32 years old. He lived in a contrived fantasy world where everything around him was constructed from the human imagination, even that which he was attempting to derive self pride from. "Sad" is the only way to describe such a human being.

You are quite welcome, the link rotator is merely correcting a longstanding oversight. (I got lazy about updating it)

I remember this guy, had a minor run-in or two with him myself. Most of that ilk I can figure out, but his actions were beyond my ability to decipher. While it's almost impossible to know if another blogger is lying about his/her credentials, this one certainly generated considerable doubt. I almost miss him. It was interesting and somewhat amusing witnessing him flail about.

Thanks for my inclusion in the scrolling furry blogger thingy.

sannhet - sometimes I am impressed with your comments to my blogs
You actually get the intended humor. . . . Yeah, I saw both Duran/ Leonard fights on big screen pay per view satellite feeds in hockey arenas. That's how they did it back then, there did not exist a medium for home delivery of television satellite feeds. Not to mention, payment processing. They sold tickets to big humungus television screens, which by today's standards had picture quality akin to watching objects move on the other side of a goldfish bowl. I remember the excitement, losing $20 bucks on the first one, winning $50 on the famous "no mas, no mas" fight. That was 27 years ago.

I would have paid to watch that fight! Might now have been Leonard/Duran, but it would have been good.

Troosha - flattery will get you everywhere
If you are telling me that you are a semi regular phantom click, that's good enough to become a little furry blogger in my link rotator script. Clicks are clicks and thank you for the kind words.

I like to drop in from time to time to see what controversial pot you’re stirring up but today was rather tame. It is, however, a brilliantly written and witty recount of what I’m sure was an interesting discussion between you and whatshisname. I enjoy your style and appreciate your attitude.

Cool!
I'm honored to make the ascension as a furry little blogger rising to heaven! Thanks!

strat - I think the thing I remember the most was how he brought all of our

 conflict upon himself.

When I realized that the bread had not quite risen, I tried not to be too cruel at first, even blocking him temporarily for his own protection while asking him nicely to stop bothering me. But nooo......he had to come back for a few more whups up side the head.

BTW I put your name in my Link Rotator Script in the left hand column of this blog. I trust this meets with your approval.

SuccessWarrior - how have you been?
Have you had any trouble with your forum? I'm experiencing inexplicable heavy traffic, all from Russia with countless forum registrations which I am forced to delete and ban. Not one legitimate post has come from all of this traffic, every last post has been porn. Today is a slow day relatively speaking, I have only 208 page views and have deleted only 9 bogus registrations, again all from Russia. I have switched the registration from auto to administration approval. When I have a chance I am going to investigate the scripting needed to filter and validate email addresses as well as putting these tasks on auto-pilot. What a nuisance. Things were going great with my forum up until last week, then all of a sudden I started getting a flood of spammers from Russia. Who gave them godless commies computers anyways?

I remember that guy -- that was hilarious!
I remember him blathering on about he was a member of MENSA and all that; I think we could replace the "M" with a "D" and that would be far more accurate.

What was even funnier was that this guy who claimed to be Harvard bred(yet he listed a Baptist college in Georgia as his alma mater) and MENSA material couldn't even begin to grasp simple grammar of the English language -- which should have been his native language. Yeah, I remember him well.

Whatever happened to ol' whasshizname?
