I have done both, for the two older ones I was a stay at home mom, but this younger one I was a single mom so I had to work, but some moms don't see it that way

I agree lustorlove. I worked fulltime for 17 years until we came to new
zealand when I was forced to be a stay at home mum. My two yonger kids have thrived on having me at home. we struggle for money but when I look at what Ive built with all my kids, I know it is priceless.

Liliane,
I agree with you. When you want children, they do need someone at home with them (it can either be the mother or the father). We also grew up with only Dad working, and our mother was always there. We never lacked anything!

I work for the phone company for customers that have disabilities and I hear some sad stories but then again I hear stories that they are trying to get something for free

. But there is no reason some people work, the gal that sit next to me works because she admits that she wouldn't do well full time at home, sad isn't it

Wow, good post! I'd often wondered about that, too. So much stuff to buy it seems. Not me anymore. I'm done with that stage. What do you do? For work, I mean?
