I think it's always a wise idea to consult a dictionary before choosing a username, Tonyzonit.

I've too often witnessed firsthand the tragic effects of failing to do so.

That and the world championships of table tennis, Strat.

Of course, they all beat watching the debate team in "action" (which I once got suckered into attending ... I can promise you that'll never happen again.)

Thank you very much, davi5. That's very sweet of you say.
And I must confess, I would tend to concur with that opinion.

Hello Mademoiselle - thank f*** you spelled it right or I'd never have
found you using the search button. Looks good - I shall return, as MacArthur said, to a whispered chorus of 'Who gives a ...' Tell Enigmatic he's a very naughty boy.

Ah, the subterfuge...you see right through them, Mademoiselle.
Rowing, huh? I guess it almost, but not quite, beats a Yoko Ono performance.

I know the feeling, Kabu ...
Except for the part about being interested in the Regatta.

mademoiselle
Hi love.....I remember being terribly interested in a regatta many years ago.......I accidently manouvered to bump into a gorgious male I had a crush on. He was older than me but sooooooo, divine and Oh the sohpistication! You know, he pretended not to remember who I was just to keep me keen; I just knew that was what was behind his blank stare!!!!!!

Well, I just go by what the pamphlets tell me, Smartdog ...
It's not like I've actually measured them myself.

That's very lovely of you to say, proc.
Perhaps when (if?) I ever finish school, I'll have the opportunity to try to cobble something together.

Are they anything like "Harvey Krumpet", Enigmatic?

Because I loved that.

Meanwhile, I thought "Cabin Fever" had a decent enough premise but the execution was poor, and the acting amateurish.

Madam
I thought the crew races at the Charles river in Boston were the largest.. anyways.

Be well,

mademoiselle, I can see why you are number 2. You need to write
all this stuff in a book.  Its too funny not to be read by a wider audience.

I (for some reason) am even more "out-of-it", than usual today - that comment was meant for Madamoiselle - I'm such an airhead - I need more coffee - and apparently more brain cells!LOL!

You are getting me so mixed up!  lol!  WHAT are you talking about?

"The Rotten Fruit" British clamation shorts, are absolutely nothing like the film, "Cabin Fever", which, by the way - I forgive you for not enjoying!

posted by Enigmatic68 on May 13, 2007 at 2:48 PM | link to this | reply

That's strange, Nickie, because whenever I used to tell my grandmother she looked nice,

she used to get really angry and say, "Don't patronize me, you little puke!"

posted by Mademoiselle on May 13, 2007 at 1:50 PM | link to this | reply

Mademoiselle,
older people do enjoy being flattered! My 77-year-old mother (who is in a nursing home) still blushes when someone tells her she looks pretty! And I must confess I felt really flattered when a young guy of about 17 whistled at me last week!

posted by Nickie-Fleming on May 13, 2007 at 1:33 PM | link to this | reply

Oh, I can see how that might change things, Foliage.

I'm 47, so when I'm carded, it's astonishing!

posted by FoliageGold on May 13, 2007 at 1:11 PM | link to this | reply

Well, she certainly seemed to enjoy it, anyway, Foliage.

Meanwhile, I get carded all the time, and find it to be rather annoying, actually.

posted by Mademoiselle on May 13, 2007 at 1:04 PM | link to this | reply

I wouldn't bet on that, Enigmatic ...
Considering what I thought of "Cabin Fever".

posted by Mademoiselle on May 13, 2007 at 1:01 PM | link to this | reply

Mademoiselle
Ha, ha, ha!  What a wonderful compliment for your Momma.  I sometimes get carded and I think it's very funny.  Makes my day every time!

Re: What?!
I like rottentomatoes.com - I was trying to send you the link for The Rotten Fruit shorts, but apparently, you can only view them on the special features of the horror film, "Cabin Fever", which I own - anyway, if you do get a chance to access The Rotten Fruit shorts, they are virtually guaranteed to make you LYAO!

posted by Enigmatic68 on May 13, 2007 at 2:01 AM | link to this | reply

What?!

Though "why am I still up at 4:39 in the morning?" is an even better question.

And the answer is ... reading Rottentomatoes.com's list of the best and worst comic movies of all time.

Re: Well, if I were one of those people, Enigmatic ...
Indeed, but then again, there are people in this world who are utterly convinced that they have a great sense of humor - when in fact, they, how shall I put this...DON'T!

Well, if I were one of those people, Enigmatic ...
I'd sure be posting in the wrong category, then.

Good - it's just that there seems like there are so many people out there these days, with virtually no sense of humor!

I would, TAPS ...

But, unfortunately, she refuses to follow my orders.

She's only really more mature in one sense, TAPS.

Otherwise, she's not very mature at all, actually.
