In My Faith
In my faith, we believe that this life is probationary. It is a gift and should be executed to best of our abilities no matter what our hindrances. As long as we are still here, we are able to help someone else with their probationary life. I for one hope I am here for a long time. I will accept my death when God decides I have fulfilled my duties.

Why are they hanging around?
Out of habit, of course.
Habit! Thank you! We're here all week!

odd -- nuns looking forward to death -- so why are they hanging around?
living to be 80, 90, 100 years old
problem is i don't think i personally would relish just sitting around all day on that sea of glass strumming a harp and singing "holy, holy, holy", etc. for all eternity.
but that seems to be just about as exciting as their life -- so probably not much difference.

kooka_lives - speaking the truth should not offend anyone
When you say: "
I'm sorry if this offends anyone, but as far as I can figure those nuns have empty lives to begin with . . . " anyone looking forward to death does have something wrong with them, not the least of which is a life devoid of the happiness derived from life's pleasure.
