Re: Re: Wavy Davy
You just seem to think that blacks and Native Americans are being discriminated against. That is your opinion and you have aright to say it.

I don't understand what you are talking about in this comment. My property is taxed, and I live by legal regulations. I am legally in this country. I don't know what is it you are equating me to Sharpton and Jackson. Can you explain?

I fully agree with you. No one should have any religion forced upon them, just as no one should be prevented the worship of their religion.

Re: Re:
The red man has casinos where they are considered a sovereign nation and don't have to pay taxes. My property isn't a sovereign nation and I have to pay taxes and abide by the government's regulations. The black man has the right to vote. Don't have full citizenship? Give me a break! It's more of an advantage being black or Native American than white today. The pendulum has definitely turned despite the rantings of Sharpton, Jackson and YOU.

I understand. Freedom of religion means all religions. The Constitution only states that there shouldn't be only one established religion where everyone has to join or be persecuted. Freedom to believe or not to believe just don't force it upon me or the whole country. Let me make that decision.

THIS IS THE COMMAND TO WHICH I REFER
1Ti 2:12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.either you are disobeying it
or
as you say, you have a reasonable explanation why you are not in silence as the Apostle Paul commands.

how come you disobey the Apostle Paul's command (II Tim)?
I have posted several times -- made a comment to you
but you as a Christian woman, believed to believe the Bible, seem to ignore this command, or do you have a reasonable explanation for not adhering to it?

There's always someone around who "edits" history. It's nothing new.
History is the story told by the victors - I think that's how the quote goes.
I remember when I was doing research and found out about the Buffalo Soldiers, and the truth about the capture of Geronimo, and how none of that made it into the history books we read in school -- I was mad about that for several years.

History should be an honest picture of how far man has come.
It should necer be changed to make us look better. That is dishonest. I like your passion.

Re: anarchistbanjo.
There are still some documents written from that time that still exist many of them and they have not been tampered with. Most of the ones that give a lot of what is being declared today are those tampered with. Both hemp and opium were legal until less than 100 years ago I believe.
Thank you for your comment.

Re:
YOU ARE RIGHT IN THEORY, BUT IN ACTUALITY AMERICA HAS NEVER BEEN THE BLACK MAN'S COUNTRY. tHE TRUE OWNERS OF THIS COUNTRY, THE AMERICAN INDIAN WERE KILLED OFF, ROBBED AND DESTROYED AS A PEOPLE. IMMIGRANTS FROM EUROPEAN COUNTRIES STOLE THEIR LANDS AND MADE IT THEIR OWN AND THEN KIDNAPPED THE BLACK MAN FROM AFRICA TO HELP THEM BUILD IT. THE BLACK MAN HAS YET TO BE REIMBURSED FOR THE BLOOD, SWEAT AND TEARS HE HAS SHED IN THIS COUNTRY FOR 400 YEARS WITHOUT PAY. AND TO THIS DAY, NEITHER THE RED MAN OR THE BLACK MAN HAVE BEEN GRANTED FULL CITIZENSHIP.

Re:
YOU ARE SO RIGHT.THIS IS NOT ONLY A COUNTRY STARTED BY IMMIGRANTS, BUT ALSO BUILT ON THE BACKS OF BLACK SLAVES. MUCH OF THE HISTORY OF THE SLAVES HAS BEEN OMITTED BY THE HISTORIANS. HISTORY HAS ALWAYS BEEN HIS STORY, IE., THE WINNERS STORY.

The rewriting of history is often a re-judging or re-assessment of history! Where it goes wrong is when it judges other periods by employing critera of judgment not of those periods, but ours.
That kind of re-assessment is frequently the result of a profound lack of knowledge, and is often motivated by specific agendas, usually political ones.

Rewriting history is one of the favorite pasttimes of any totalitarian gov., which is what many of these people (in my opinion) want. Stalin, the second biggest mass-murderer in history, surpassed only by the Great Saint Mao Zedong, got to the point where he would try to "erase" people's existence - not only by having them killed, but by having all records, photographs of them, etc...destroyed!

History is written by the winners.
Unfortunately history seems to be written by the winners with hidden agendas. What is also interesting is that we persist in projecting our values back into time thinking that our founding fathers thought like we do today.
Freemasonry and Rosicrucianism were strongly held beliefs of the founding fathers as well.
It's pretty much understood that the Boston Tea party was done by masons. Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Jefferson were involved in the Rosicrucian movement here and abroad. George Washington was Unitarian and smoked hemp.

Have we given in to much credit by calling it 'rewriting history'? Is it now Lying of the convenient kind? We should demand honesty in history, but how and to whom? Thanks for the comment.
