strat - the part I found funniest about that particular comment exchange is

how so many commentors missed or did not address the points made in the post.

It seemed as if it was news to some of these people that Christianity is not a universal religion adhered to in all parts of the world. From those insisting that Jesus comes to people in their dreams to those who wanted to argue my illustrative percentages, it seemed as if they were all in complete denial of the realities pertaining to worldwode religious belief.

Pretty funny stuff, no doubt!
Irony is often lost in the heat of the translation, I suppose.

Talion - it's hilarious isn't it?
It's not like I have hidden the fact that I enjoy watching the fervant fundies spin into orbit. Even more amazing as evidenced by the comments I linked to is how many people miss or confuse the things I have written entirely. But to the credit of some, of the people commenting on this long ago post a few of them have become cybor friends. . . mind you some still hate my guts.

There's one thing I've never understood since meeting you here. You clearly state your intent to "wind up Bible Thumpers" as evidenced by the title of your blog, the About This Blog description, and the subsequent posts. Yet individuals show up time and time again to tell you what an ass they think you are, never realizing they're getting wound up. I don't get it.
