I need lotsa load wads of wonga, Tony.

Exactly, Neil. Balance is the key.
We need balanced rainfall and sunshine, and balanced population and balanced wealth distribution. Everything must be balanced between too much and too little. In fact, this is an important topic deserving more attention - thanks, Neil!

Tony-connections from this to today's sonnet.Excesses...Why, Lord, can't
we have more of a balance, an equilibrium between needs and wonga; between helpful genes and reproduction? Then again, our patience and tolerance are tested when we assume (rightly or wrongly) that the wrong ones have it all. "poverty" of all kinds may inspire great art....or destroy both hope and heart (Why do I respond w/ long comments to your sonnets? If I continue, I may be writing sinnets) shalomfromneil

Tony
lol!  Aren't you clever!  It's in there today.  hee-hee  Did you post your sonnet yet?  Never mind, I'll go and look.

Thanks, Drohan. I thought it was the other way round, because it messes up
the female hairdo - but you're probably right. Men are such softies. What people are scared of I really don't know.

Good point, Pelagus - never thought of it that way!

Come on, Whinge, you can still lean into the wind!
Wind - now there's another thing. I love strong wind when there's sunshine as well. That to me is the ideal. Strong wind and rain together, not quite as nice, but still fun if you're in the right frame of mind. It's all good!

LOVELY POEM.... BUT FOR ME I LOVE THE RAIN ,HE IS MY DEAR FRIEND BUT I NOTICED THAT MANY  GENTLEMEN DO NOT LIKE THE RAIN. I CAN GUESS WHY

rain, rain, rain!
i love the rain, thanx for this call to appreciate it!

the only thing i hate is the piss falling from the sky in cities... yes... some people call it rain! But the smell & taste are delightful when in the wild!!

See, another reminder to get wellies.

I like the rain too, but only if I have the proper rain gear.  Summer rain doesn't bother me too much as long as there's still enough of a summer to call it summer rain, otherwise it's just rain.

There's something cool about going out on a winter's stormy day with all your gear on and being blown about in the wind & rain, it was much better when I was a kid though and could lean into the wind.

It did work, Mary, when i clicked on the link. Slurrrrp!

Yes, Mary, I saw that photo! Is that you? Anyway, it seems to be
uncannily like your blog from yesterday - yum yum.

Hi Enigmatic - yes, I pretty much agreed with your thoughts, actually!

Hello Wiley - thanks for that, mate - if you're not selling up anymore,
there's less urgency to cutting the grass!!

Yes, true, Straightforward. Always check the weather forecast - especially
if you live in a sometimes rainy climate like I do. I carry my umbrella in my bag when I go to work.

Thanks, Proc. Yes, exactly. To hardly ever have rain is many people's
ideal, but there is a price to pay - the water for our needs has to come from somewhere. Also, green countryside is beautiful, especially whn the sun does shine!

Dunno where those darn mice are at the moment?  Get some sleep, sweet sonnet writer.

That damn rain! By the way, I found your comments on Nietzsche's "ER" very interesting - what did you think of my comments on that essay/idea?

I'm praying for some of that rain now because I'm too tired to cut any more grass so the excuse would be most welcome. Great sonnet my friend and have a happy Thursday

I guess that to appreciate the rain, one needs to be prepared for it

lovely tonyzonit. Its tme the bad reputation of rain was washed
removed somewhat.  We humans are never quite satisfied though.  When it rains we complain but when too much sun means drought and water-restrictions we cry.  I guess all weathers in moderation would be the thing.

Hello MandaLee - nice to see you!

Hi Mary - yeah, I expect it would be tiresome, especially on a noisy
tin roof. I hope you don't have a noisy tin roof along with your noisy mice...

I agree, Chris. I'll see if it can be arranged!

Why do the emoticons sometimes stay on the same line, and other times go on the next line?

Lovely musings on the old pitter-patter on the 'ole tin roof!  lol  Love the rain, but after too many days of it, it's tiresome.  I understand many places in the Southern US are having a lot.  Right now, we're on our tenth day of sun and I'm certainly not complaining!
