Never was a 'fashion statement' - only a function of the convergence of 1. a fashion trend, i.e. low-rise jeans and 2. a fashion necessity, i.e. the thong to prevent pantylines!!!
Now, come down off of your high horse! Fashion sense is not necessarily the leading indicator of a relationship - worthy chick. After all, the dapper Prince Charles found is soul-Lady in Camilla!
