Hi L...I love my little sportscar and get about 40 miles per gallon on

the highway and about 25 to 30 MPH tooling around town. Maybe when I'm ready to get another car it may be a hybrid. Because we are up in the mountains many people need 4WDs (my husband has one) and that uses more gas. It's the people in surburbia that have Hummers or big ass SUV's not for the necessity but for the prestige. It just sucks!

I knew you would say something about the color, sorry, well it was just a thought when you think of the commercials pushing these cars.

That sounds really expensive!  Wish I knew how many litres to a gallon.  I paid $1.20/litre yesterday.

I can barely read that color..but my car is really easy on gas..In fact the last time I filled it up gas was still below 2.50. Oh and no I don't think the auto companies have anything to do with the price of fuel...

I don't know about that stuff, either.  My new car takes the cheapest gas and I like that.

its a 6 but I dont fill it up but every two weeks but from one day to the next it jumps a few pennies, I dont remember what I paid two weeks ago.  Will it ever come down?

Lust...harley cripes! $3.50????
Is your Chrsyler a 4 banger or a V-6?  That Z I'm driving is a V-6, and because I like driving it so much I'm spending quite a bit on gas.  Hopefully, the newness will wear off and I can tone it down on the gas a bit!

Are you talking hybrids?
Anyway, I have a little VW Cabrio. But I'd really like to be driving something that runs on french-fry oil!

Lust...

These high-bred's haven't been around long enough to determine total benefits overall in terms of mechanical soundability versus the money you're saving in gas and all that statistical mumbo jumbo.  I think it's great for the envrionment and am seeing more and more on the road.  But I think it'll be awhile before we know the real pros and cons.

P.S.  We're up to $3.18 a gallon!  Oye!
