How awful.......
My mom said when she brought my brother home from the hospital as a baby, the cat "adopted" him immediately. "Rocky" jumped into bro's crib everytime he was sleeping and layed down with him wherever the baby fell asleep and continued through the years.

That really sucks. How can anyone "return" their
companion of five years as if the cat were nothing but a replaceable merchandise.
