Well Melody if it's any consolation it can never be the last day of the world in America because it's always tomorrow here in Australia.. I read that somewhere and the more I think about it the stranger I feel!!!!

Yes you are right about the sadness of eating roo seven days a week. It really is just an occasional meat to eat - too gamey to be eating all the time - of course when Skippy is turned into mince meat and made into patties (aka. roo burgers) it can be eaten reasonably frequently.

I can understand fleeing the eastern suburbs Kabu. I'm lucky that I've been able to remain in a play with low rent which hasn't gone up much in the seven years I've been here.

Hi there,

Give me that outhouse with a beachfront and I'm happy... Melody

A perturbing thought just interrupted the outhouse dream: you are already enjoying the weekend and I still have a full day's work ahead tomorrow. Blah blah blah!

Hey Rob...

I couldn't view the pics you put up, but I'll take your word for it.  There goes my fantasy about running away to live in Oz.  Mick promised me he'd marry me so I could live there, but we can see how that turned out, can't we?

I truly hope you find the home of your dreams.  Be it a ramshackled beach house or whatever else.  I'd love one day to hear that you have a lush garden growing strong in your back yard...That you have a bath spa to indulge yourself in...and that you at last have a cat to cuddle whilst your beloved's away.

As for the eating of kangaroo seven days a week....

That's BLOODY awful!!!!  You made me cry again Peachy!!!!!

Keep well, Rob.

Rob
I knew you were talking the Eastern suburbs. We call ourselves Bondi refugees because we were renting there untill 5 years ago when they more than doubled our rent. I still have family over there though and go back a lot.

Mademoiselle.. a chemist is the Australian name for what I think you would call a drug store: a place for purchasing pain killers, lip balm etc. though I seem to remember your drug stores sold so much stuff they were almost supermarkets which really confuses matters. A pharmacist can also be referred to as a chemist here. Yes the outback house was a joke.

Why does the first entry list the house's proximity to a chemist?

What the hell does that mean? Like, a laboratory? Who would want to live next to one of those

Oh, and is that last house a joke? Because ... yikes!

It reminds me of that time when the Simpsons' flight arrived in Morocco, and Homer gets off the plane, takes a look around and says,

"Sheesh! What a dump! Why would Princess Grace want to live here?"
