Hi Neil - thanks! Just think - the ark must have contained
woodworm, and woodpeckers and the like. How did it stay afloat? But then it was only a month or so wasn't it?

Hi FreeManWalking - my favourite time would be the early 70s.
because it's the first period i can really remember. Anything that needs a lot of research is a turn-off for me to write, though.

Tony - this poem reminds me that I often wish to create a world or at
least a sense of time and place in my writing. My place would be that world of the 1960's, maybe late '50's. The clothes, the music, the vibe. We are all little universes of potential

I just like the way you take something like frustration and weave it into
a believable tale containing magic ,then you bring us back to earth with a bump. Putting the kettle on,indeed. your poem made me smile.
