Re: Wavy Davy
Well I think your ideas are wonderful. I think we are past the health care possibilites of this sort now. I lived in such an era it was great. Now you would get sued if you made a mistake, then you would not have. I also can't imagine the majority of our children being able to go to private school. Chasnges need to be made it is true.

I agree with your observations. You asked on how to fix it. How about voting for someone like Ron Paul? Read my article entitled Ron Paul's Candidacy and tell me what you think. Also, check out my article on the Fairness Doctrine.
I would rescind NAFTA, GATT and CAFTA. I would punish American manufacturing companies through the tax code that move their plants out of the U.S. I would eliminate all foreign aid and get the United States out of the United Nations. I would eliminate public education and privitize it. I would deport all illegal immigrants and significantly reduce legal immigration to 100,000 per people or less. English would be the only language. Eliminate insurance companies from the health care equation and go back to the patient-doctor relationship that worked so well in the past. What do you think of my ideas?

I appreciated getting that information. I had not researched that. I just saw the voids in my area. Thanks.

I understand, believe me, I was not trying to start an argument - sorry if you got that impression. I save my arguing for the "loony lefties", and Lord knows, there are plenty of those, here on Blogit.com!

I agree - waaaay out of line! Basic political science = the quickest way to stir up desire for a socialist/communist revolution, is to destroy the middle class - in other words developing a society which consists (mostly) of many extremely poor people, a much smaller number of etremely rich millionaires, and an even fewer number of extremely rich billionaires!

There are issues that many are blind to for sure. I realize there is so much happening I am unaware of so very much I need to know but what I know is way out of line.

You are sooo right. And just a (friendly) reminder, that there are smart, sane (conservative) people, like Lou Dobbs who agree with you and me. Corbin and I have a (sincerely) respectful disagreement on this issue.

Re: Corbin Dallas
I see what you say even Burger is a British owned company. Okay, we know these things but we don't look at them. We see the people not working but that is not as bad as we say because unemployment has been down for the last several years. I guess when I get down about world news I should sit down, look around, research a bit and see what I am complaining about in a more specific reality. Thanks for all this information.

It means that......People who work in Toyota factories here are in jobs that Japan outsourced to us.......People who work for BP oil are in jobs outsourced from Britain. it has to work both ways doesn't it? In KY the state government offered tax breaks and incentives to get Toyota to locate their plant here........The US threatens Japan with tariffs unless they build plants in the US. Mexico offers GM incentives to locate a plant there. All I am saying is that it works both ways.
I was just as upset until I began reading on the subject. Here's an interesting Fox news piece on it.......

These two reports are very interesting. However, the latest information was as of 2003 on the Cato information. I have not been able to get a tech support person in the US for a long time with few exceptions in years.

Are you talking about those who hire our people to go into those countries to do the work whatever the need? Are they being hired and able to do that work here, live here and go to work here?

I understand the feelings on all of this.....
and it is very frustrating........but, something to think about........
Did you know that there are more jobs "outsourced" into the US by foreign companies that "outsourced" to foreign countries by US companies.......
America is actually a net importer when it comes to jobs. Far more foreign companies come to America to hire people than American companies go overseas to hire cheap foreign labor. We’re even a net importer of tech jobs.

Re: Nautikos
Yes you are right major economic trends in the US do effect you as well as the political in the indirect ways.
This Mexican invasion which will include peoples from all over the world who want to get here quickly, easily and without fear too will effect you. The world leaders are trying to force globalization. Not a good move. We have to make decisions about the immigrants quickly. Just last night a radical move was made in the Iraq situation between Tribal Chieftains and some invaders.... They did their own fighting. This will soon end our part there. We can expect Iran to come to our countries.
I do not understand how some people simply will not understand the truth right before their eyes.

As you know, I don't like to comment too much on US politics, since, as a Canadian, much of it 'ain't my b'siness', and my vote doesn't count anyway. But of course, major economic trends in the US do affect us in Canada as well, and I can tell you that these trends are deeply worrying.
In my view, the continuing 'export' of jobs, coupled with the continuing Mexican invasion will have a far greater impact on the well-being and future of the US (and us!) than such relatively transitory events as the Iraq 'war'. (And I put 'war' in quotes because it is really a civil war, even though everybody seems to insist it is not. But that's another topic.)
