I am not angry about reality, I am trying to understand it. We are living in very interesting times, where we can see things change almost before our eyes. Of course, our time will be analyzed and judged by future historians. But my own background makes me want to understand some of the dynamics now. And radical Islam is a very important factor in the process, both as symptom and cause...

amusing questions are always a good break from reality.

Okay,I get the point. its just that it takes so much effort to get so
angry about reality.

Naut.......
First.....thank you for the referral !   t's also good to see my other side have a night off!

Well.....we both made it back into the headlines......I do admit that it is frustrating as hell to see comments that demonstrate that the person commenting didn't even grasp the barest amount of what the post you've made is trying to say.   I, as have you, have never said "all" or "every" when it comes to the topics we select.   We are not attacking their religion...but that's all they see.

I also am amazed at the atheists that rush to defend the Islamists actions and words.....could it be they are considerably more anti-Christian and Anti-American than anti-God????   You'd think they'd be more of a equal opportunity "unbeliever".

But I am still waiting for examples to back up the lovely passages and lines being quoted as the "gospel" when it comes to conditions in Islamic countries........

How was that malt???

I am not denying the prevalence of human frailty! But what I am talking about here is the fact that certain practices are alleged to be sanctioned and even demanded by God, which puts them into an entirely different category! Instead of shortcomings, they become virtues...

Naut I pressed that comment thing twice because it didnt
seem to work the first time.  It was not for emphasis.  So you can delete one.

Ha,ha,you old stirrer. Do you have a wooden spoon?
I've been there and it amazes me how passionate people get about issues that are just a part of life.  I'm not prepared to get a coronary because someone says South Africans are  crooks, thieves, murderers or rapists.  Many are ,many aren't. Bad jokes abound about us,articles are written by the thousands about the bad dudes there.  It doesnt affect me because Im not one of them.  Also, all the bad christians give us a bad name.  As a catholic I often hear about my bad religion in which we dont follow the principles of the bible so we are not real christians.  We have too much manmade dogma.  Our priests molest innocent young boys.  I dont care.  Within my church I ve met God and I live my life according to christian principles.  I dont feel I have to defend those who dont practice what they preach. They have to answer to God for their actions one day. As for all the priests Ive known personally.  Not one is a molester and they have blessed and added to the lives of people they meet.  There are molesters in so many homes where there is supposedly a normal marriage.   Each of us is responsible for our own behaviour.
