actually it seems believers use their faith as an excuse for acting worse
than unbelievers.

just a light observation discovers that.

Transcendental_Child - thanx for stopping by again
I really enjoy your posts but now I see that the peanut gallery has come into your comments section. Your open admission to atheism made it just a matter of time before you would be subjected to the same nonsense that many others of us have. I will be reading your posts but may remain a phantom click as I have had my fill of the peanut gallery.

Great post... I am evil to my core... but then again - isn't everyone?

Sunnybeach7 - that's a really good point
When all is said and done; humans are simply human and project into this world whatever latent or developed human qualities they inherently possess. Where maturation and life's influences, including religious beliefs, can manipulate, shape and develop an indvidual's inner qualities, these things cannot instill that which already exists within the person.

Gome

It's disturbing to me that some can actually think that actual "inner qualities" differ much from person to person.

People assume so much sometimes.  If you were to line up people of all different beliefs and get to know the people without having any references to religious practices, I bet most of the fundies would make wrong guesses on who is followers of what beliefs.
