I think I mentioned to proc yesterday that the most important lessons parents teach their children aren't spoken aloud or even consciously "taught." It's children witnessing how their parents treat each other on a daily basis, during the good times and bad. This is the foundation of their future relationships, how they determine how to treat their partners and how they'll allow their partners to treat them.
