Great post! I'm very appreciative of our cousins among the Great Apes--
and even little ones, too, and monkeys... Posted on chimps in my Universe blog not long ago, regarding communication, and also put up some pictures in my Travelblogue just the other day, of orangs. Being in the immediate presence of any of the apes is a most moving experience!
