                Getting made redundant means that there is no longer a job for you with the company you work for, for example they have lost money and need to make cut backs, so they get rid of some of the staff.

                    That's sad.
                
                    What does "made redundant" mean, though? I mean, obviously, it involves getting fired. However, I never heard that term before.
