littlemspickels , I agree

Thanks for dropping "in".

I think that some folks need to be exhibitionistic some of the time, (some more than others), but that is less the case for me now as time has passed. I cannot imagine getting involved in these video sites or Mtspace or somesuch. Blogit is about my speed, and less so as time goes on. MAybe when I retire...

hey majroj...
as one old-timer to another... although the site has grown, I think a lot is still the same, people come by here for a multitude of reasons - to make money (only few really do that!) and to have their voice/opinion/thoughts heard. More (free) sites are available for people to that these days but one good thing about blogit is that although you can get lost in the crowd, at least you are part of the crowd when you choose to mingle. There are people that might stumble past, there are people that may become friends even. Some of the systems and the way people play the game have changed but essentially it is the same old blogging network!!! My thoughts anyhow...

And now, that I have been here a while, I know that I can overcome my addiction to blog quite easily without guilt...

Azur, well said.

I'm remembering that early on Blogit you could guarantee lots of hits by commenting on the process or making suggestions. Not my intention and actually sort of reposting my old thoughts, I guess.

Oh, yes.....

OATMEAL!

Life cycle of a blogger:
I don't want to define why I am here. When I am here I am here.

Hi MajRoj

well, here's a visitor, indeed, a first time visitor. And I am intrigued because you raise some questions that made me reflect.

One is about expectations. The expectations I bring to reading someone are very non-specific and very exacting simultaneously: I don't care what the writing is about, but I expect it to be well-written and to make me think. And if it's entertaining as well, so much the better.

Another question is about my 'season' here on Blogit, and the answer to that gets very complicated. I haven't been here all that long, but in the relatively short span of time, a little more than a year, I have learned things about others and about myself.

I began on Blogit to write political commentary. I am a conservative, but I can assure you that I am not a yahoo! As a Canadian, I do not write much on the US scene, but if I did, I would have to be fairly critical of the current administration, and a number of other things.

One matter that has occupied me considerably is the emergence and threat of Islamo-fascism, and I am writing extensively on that in one of my blogs. I also have a more personal blog, and one 'just for fun'.

One thing I have noticed is that I have become far more 'chatty' than I was, and then I intended to be. I haven't decided whether that's good or bad. I am also concerned that this blogging business is beginning to take up more of my time than is good for me!

Anyway, so much (or little) for today...
