That does not disappoint me.  By me being wrong it just shows the idea of the post is correct.  You cannot justify racial profiling, since it would not have shown him to be a threat.  Also, he was not a Chinese national (That was an early assumption, that was never claimed to be true.  It might have worked better if you waited for the facts to come out, but I guess you thought you had an open attack on me and didn't want to wait.).

I never said our military were killers, just that we have seen our own soldiers come and do a great deal of killing of our own people.  You are more likely to have an ex- US military end up killing you than an terrorists if you really look at the facts.

George Hennard, Joseph Whitman and Timothy McVeigh were all ex-military who basically went and committed some of the greatest acts of violence in this country.  That is fact.

Now I know a lot of people who have served and are fine, but I also know a few who are not fine and some who are fine, but would agree with me that our military personal are often off-balanced.

I am a white, American male who was raised in a more or less Christian home.  When I use that as the basics of who was most likely the shooter, it was not because of anything racial, but to make a point about racial profiling.  The simple fact is that most of those kinds of events have been done by white males who would not have been discovered by any form of racial profiling.

Of course now the conservatives will be wanting to go after any Asian students over here legally now because of this.

By me being wrong, the point of the post is shown to be right.

Your presumption that this attack was perpetrated by someone of a specific skin color and national origin is pretty myopic, and utterly racist.  The fact that you would say something like that before you even got all the facts sais a lot about you and your petty prejudices.  You pretty much wanted it to be a white guy all along didn't you.

Of course you can try to foist on us your fatuous, small minded comments if you choose, but I won't be listening.  If that's the way you think, you have nothing worthwhile to say.

And by the way, if it even matters to you, you're dead wrong on the race and nationality of the gunman.

The last news I saw...
His identity was only alleged, unless they have released it in the last hour.  At any rate, it was the action of a human being, which includes us all.  I will not feel particularly relieved no matter what his origins, there is not much to be gained from that from the perspective of the victims and thier families.  As for the news agencies, they come in two flavors, run as a for profit business or run as a governement mouthpiece.  There are good and bad in both.

Probably...I guess he won't have to worry about the FBI seeking his expertise as a profiler..

The 'global rubbish machine that calls itself the news'!

That's parochial even for you. By this you would be refering to any news produced by any agency working outside America. It's must be pretty easy to convince yourself that your right all the time, when you've decided that every possible source of worldly wisdom is illegitimate.

That is your opinion...you aren't even an American so you probably listen to the global rubbish machine that calls itself the news..You do not have a clue..Why are you not so concerned about your own countries problems? I can lay you odds if something happened there the first people they would call on for help would be the good old USA...

Unfortunately, your soldiers are most certainly killers. That's what they're doing in Iraq right now...

Sorry Kooka, but prelim reports state otherwise --

according to Fox and MSNBC he was very likely a Chinese national here on a student visa.

Ahem.

This is the country that is dictating to the rest of the world how it should run it's affairs. I think you're right - a bit of introspection might be called for.
