Appreciate your understanding my friend, and happy I can just focus on those things that I can deal with like the evils of Hydro One. lol

Re: Nautikos

Wiley, thanks for your words. I really appreciate them! As you probably know, unlike a few others I will never attack another's faith. The only reason for doing my analysis of Islam is that it provides the ground for what is the most vicious form of fascism in the world today, and is used to justify horrendous crimes! Let's not forget that there are Muslims calling for the destruction of Israel, a country whose right to exist they have never acknowledged!

If I see Muslims demonstrating in the streets against Hamas, Hezbollah, al Jihad and al Qaeda, I'll begin to adopt a different view of Islam. Until then I consider it a danger!

But I fully understand your position.

Nautikos

Well now I really seem to have got myself in the middle of something and in order to maintain my own  peace, decided the most sane course of action for me was to offer my own peace to one Muslim and back away altogether.

I do apologize to you as well my friend, if it was because of something I said that turned your wonderful history into histrionics.

In four years on Blogit, I have managed to keep away from 99% of the 'wars' in Blogit, which makes me a wimp I suppose, but many years ago I was a far worse type of individual than I am today.

Now, just from knowing and reading you, Gomedome and Ian another friend here where I live,  I have opened my mind to atheism, agnosticism and have learned to appreciate the freedom of mind that other belief's like that offer to humankind.

I have come this far in my life, by listening only to the God of my understanding,  not the Jewish, Catholic or Muslim God, and all I have learned is to try and live listening to His voice inside me.

That voice is telling me I can read history, but not judge what's happening in the making of it. I can also be quiet, because whatever I have to say is just going to add fuel to the always burning embers of religious hate.

That definitely is not something I want to do anymore. But I sure will continue to read you my friend, and think my thoughts, commenting only what brings peace, understanding, love and lightness.

We're living in very interesting times! We are witnessing cultural changes on various levels! But it's sometimes difficult to perceive the larger picture when you're in the midst of things - and also, when you go about living your life, as we all do, where you don't notice much change at all...

I am so thankful that you write your serious stuff as you call it. We have problems coming toward us from so many fronts and all of those fronts figure some how into terrorism. I like your writing serious or funny just keep writing.

thank you very much for your encouraging comment. I try to be as objective in my analyisis as I can be, but I do have certain preferences, which I state. If that offends some people, so be it. I also try to be civil at all times.

And being called names doesn't bother me in the least - it just reflects on the person doing it...

HA HA drohan called you ugly, drohan called you ugly..nananananana
Actually seriously, when certain comments are made I relegate it to schoolground mentality.  Not worth getting your fine jocks in a knot about.  On the subject of your writing you and CD educate and entertain at the same time.  There are always many sides to a story and its healthy to look at all and assimilate.

drohan and I had a sort of 'debate' at the end of my Part XII, although she didn't really address the issues. (Go take a look, it's kind of interesting!) As to 'reaching' Muslims? Not a snowball's chance in hell, I'm afraid.

As long as I get a kiss from you when you drop in...

I read you and Corbin because you write well
and you think things out. I don't agree with all you say, but I appreciate your thoughtful way of presenting your argument, and that you make me think. You are, contrary to what some might say, beautiful!  I'm very glad you're on Blogit, and will follow your lead to Corbin. :)pat

I read Corbin everyday and like you have a conservative opinion on most things. What I find interesting is someone would come into your comment section and call you ugly like drohen254 has done. That statement in itself demonstrates the need for more posts from you and CD. It also shows the low mentality of those who oppose view points w/o facts and resort to name calling...Keep on writing my friend...maybe someday you just might reach such types...who knows?

Naut......
I know it's had to believe...but Im almost speechless.  Thanks for the recommendation.

These things must be covered.....Most people aren't up to dredging through all of the paternity and race baiting stories....News addicts perform important functions..especially with the arrival of the Blogosphere.  Stories regarding the erosion of the Western Civilization need to be heard.

Our situation is very similar to the "town crier".......keeping people aware of the times thye live in............

Now after having said all that.  My CD's are driving me batty.  They're skipping.  I've this lovely music that I write to, filled with classical music, birds, wind, water ........  How do I fix this?  Can I clean them?  Is this the problem?  I'm smiling, but serious.  --Joy!Mary

Naut - Dear Man.......
I read both of you.  Period.  'Nuff said?  I'm smiling.  The world has one axis.  Yet, what is surrounded by the basis of world thought flies within the realm of gravity.  And I don't just mean Newton.  I mean, the seriousness of all that happens within our world is difficult to grasp and I, for one, am heartened by writers' such as yourself and Corbin of whom take me into thoughts and meanings that escape my own personal world.  So, all I can do is thank you both for the gravity, the brevity and for taking me out of my own realm of comfortableness.  It's ALL good.  --Joy!Mary
