Ah! Sweet and bitter tragedy
comes from moods like these.

Hi Pat B
You're very welcome!

I can imagine that science fiction would be very tough indeed these days! You'd have to be a rocket scientist to get everything exactly right. And the "trekkies" and other sci-fi fans are very nitpicky about details. But isn't there a little room for artistic license, too? We saw a movie last month (sci fi) that was just shamelessly implausible, and we enjoyed it so much!

I'm feeling a bit of angst myself these days.
Had to admit to myself my "great American novel" is totally unsellable. The science (it's science fiction) is passe if not totally wrong. Had it come out in the mid 1980s it might have done okay, but we've learned too much about science and space and possibility. So I'm trying to find a new way to frame the good parts -- the woman against the system bits. I'm fighting myself tooth and nail to avoid just trashing the whole thing. Come to think of it, that's the same logic that kept me in a bad marriage ten years too long.  Hmmm...  You've helped. I'm feeling better. Thanks.

Foliage, Whacky 'n Kabu
I've heard that this is a good year for whines!

Hmmm...maybe a good idea for a funny story? "A whine with a nice robust quality, a hint of strawberry sorrow, a touch of nutty remorse, and a sprinkling of early Spring sun brings out the honeydew 'melon'choly. Or would you perhaps prefer the house whine?" Feeling better already! Thanks!

Ahhh! There's nothing like a great whine! (Do you have a 'whine' cellar?)
Here's a smile and a rose!<><><>and a RUFF! WOOF! from=^..^=Bo.

Helen
Ah, we all need a glass of good whine now and then.  For me, when I get in those moods, it's the absolute best time to write those disturbing scenes that I always put off.  It's a great way to get rid of the negative energy.  When I'm finished, I then try to do something fun to pull myself out of the mood.  Good luck!  --Joy!Mary
