Thanks Manda,
It's tough going, but in the end it will all work out fine.

Pat_B,
I have no training nor do I need any. I'd just toss him out if it were that simple. We have custody of his daughter who is scared to death about what her Dad is going to do. So we are in a bit of a jam until social services finds him a place to stay. Believe me if I were totally in charge here I'd toss him on the streets. I do have my wife, his sister, to deal with though.

Just went back & read your past 3 or 4 blogs. Geez!
From outside the magical world of bro-in-law, it seems to me you don't really want to leave -- you just want the chaos gone. Chances are the problem with BIL is ongoing, whether or not he shares your house. Is there any other family who can take him for a while, give you & your wife some respite? Have you any training for dealing with his sh*t? Sometimes just knowing what to do (or being able to take a relaxed breath) makes you better able to cope. I know it's not easy. Take care.
