Your poem actually enables one to picturise what you are writing about

Actually I think Bhaskar used a better word
I said passion. He said violence. I think it was a sort of violence that you were witness to in that moment back then. That's what makes it squeamish and, probably, disturbing.

Hi Wiley - I was with my daughter at the time - she drinks lemonade.
Also, the environment was kind of goody-goody - not the place to get drunk - the prices at that concert hall are shocking, too!

Oh you sure know how to put it down man. I saw a lady play Flamenco music in North Africa a long time ago but I never could have written about it with such flowing graceful poetry. Oh, and you actually had just a glass of beer? Dang that upset me, but of course as an alcoholic sobered up, it would.LOL I nver could see how folks drank one glass of alcohol.

Hi
You've got quite a way with words! Such a refreshing approach to poetry.

A day for ducks, then?  I THOUGHT I would miss all the snow this winter by living in Florida for six months.  Joke's on me!  --Joy!Mary

Thank goodness for the Gulf Stream (over here in the UK), Mary!
I've only seen one snowfall this winter, and it was a s dark fell, so I could n't make snowballs or anything. By morning it was all gone...

You're welcome!  Lucky you!  Here it's been snowing cold, white sand all day.  --Joy! Mary

OOh, thanks Mary. I've had lots of flowers and blossom today!

Ah, I see.  That's very interesting.  The Japanese often paint blossoms as well and they're so lovely.  The blossoming of ones' life....... yes, I guess you're right.  --Joy!Mary    Just for that, you may have two!

Mary - the real blossom, I mean!
I've just been reading about Japanese poetry - mainly haiku and similar forms, where there's a strong focus on the beauty and transience of nature. The author describes how not just the poets but ordinary people over there stand and stare at the cherry blossom, agonising over its temporary beauty. lives are often compared to blossoms or flower petals. That's what I had in mind!

Yes, Discom, you have understood it exactly.
Although I'm not THAT bourgeois a person, I was probably trying to be, and it was punctured at least momentarily!

Troosha - thanks.
I was inspired by listening to some Spanish guitar while ironing. That brought the memory to the fore. Otherwise it may have been about the crucifixion, I guess.

You've done very well
I can only imagine the passion, yet the squeamishness of the intimacy of that moment. To be comfortable in the "Bourgeois smugness down pat" (LOVED that bit), and suddenly thrust into the bittersweetness of this experience. Or at least it would be bittersweet to me.

You describe her ability to express her passion through those strings so vividly.  This is fabulous - one of your best in my eyes.
