Thank you so much Troosha! I appreciate your comments and I do understand
the age old differences between the genders! My one-really would have benefited a great deal-with counselling but it's been left too late! He's 70-(I know we say that 'it's never too late-but)-it would kill him! So I am well practiced at taking a tiny glimpse! God bless--have a Happy Easter Break.Chris.

How very right you are NAJWA! This one has been hurt so many time before
that he simply has not been able to 'commit' his ALL! I know that deep down-but--bye for now my friend-Chris.

At the risk of making a gender slanted remark, men so very often have a difficult time “exposing” their feelings. Regrettably it’s a result of years of being shaped into the stellar, unsinkable man. We as women (who want to pour our emotions out onto the kitchen floor for close inspection) find this extremely frustrating. When “B” shuts down and becomes silent I am only just learning that the best way to reach out to him is to let him be and eventually, one step at a time, he returns to me and offers me a glimpse of what is troubling him. I’ll take the glimpse. A lovely poem about and age old dilemma.
