Scrambled eggs (the only kind of eggs I'll eat) in a microwave - ick! And just for the record, there's no such thing as good bread pudding, in or out of the microwave!
And if you think you've heard that before (or that you'll hear it again, if you go in the other direction) you're right! Why re-invent the wheel? Enigmatic and I seem to be on the same wave length on many issues!
And I take it your Mom wasn't (isn't) too fond of cooking...

I like to experiment with microwave cooking. Fresh squash and sweet potatoes come out great in the microwave and it is so quick.

Yes it is amazing . Anything can be cooked instantly .
