What bothers me is not that they take the car, mostly.
What bothers me is that I am not even asked. The car is in my mother's name, but I paid for it. But it's still like I have no say in the matter whatsoever.
They call my mother, my mother tells me they are taking the car...end of story.

If it bothers you, tell them. Once or twice is okay, now they are taking advantage of your generosity.

You are a valuable person. You are the only person there is like you. You do not have to jump to anybody's orders. Take the keys to your car. Keep them on your person, someone comes to drive it, no you will be usine today. If you don't plan to go someplace, so what drive it around the block. You let people run over you and then you get upset. Stop it. Let them know without a word you are important.

Connect a hose to the exhaust and run it clandestinely into the passenger compartment. A little carbon monoxide poisoning should put a stop to their rude behavior.
In case any law enforcement people are reading - HEY, JUST KIDDING!!

If you had read my previous posts on this, you would see that I don't really have much say in the matter.
I am never really "asked". I am just "told". They go through my mother and tell her they need to take the car. She won't not let them take it.
I guess it's a long story, but it's one reason that I grew up with little to no self-esteem. In my family, rarely do I feel like I'm treated like a valid human being.

I suggest you charge them rental fees.
Be up front and tell them you expect that gas gauge to be where it was when they borrowed it. Who borrows someones car anyway? That's a lot to ask~
