NAJWA--In this unfortunate man's experience, the blue birds didn't sing
often enough, like once in a blue moon.  I agree, would have been better for him, and possibly her, if the birds sang a little more often.   In his poem, it just happened to be Sunday when the first bird of spring shoose to sing.   lol and thanks...

Ah, okay, I thought that was it, but wanted to check and make sure before I put my foot in my mouth! Exploring the, ‘seasons’ in our lives and what is acceptable via the conventions of what are considered, ‘sins’ is what I took from your poem. If we ignore what is possibly, ‘right’, and choose the other way, indeed it is feasible that our, ‘bluebird of happiness’ is false. And therefore the reactions we seek from others are false as well. And a false sense of belonging is borne. Well done. I loved this poem! –Joy!Mary

Mars Gold...Thanks much for your question, which I shall attempt to answer.

"He were morally

ifen nor legally tied".   It would be more understandable and correct English, if I had written:   "He was morally, if not legally, tied."   The accents are on morally and legally.   My poems often contain "sound like words," colloquies and grammatical errors left there by my need for a certain rhythmetic effect.  So, "ifen" means merely "if."   The "Nor" naturally replaces "not" and has a connection to "mor" in morally.  I'm getting confused...

Scriber ~ They don't really sing as much as they wilt in the heat.
But the alligators make up for it by belching incessantly, so it all works out.
