Go to Religion in the Modern World

Pat_B - I feel the phrase that you have used: "there are some things we are
not supposed to know" . . . needs a bit of examination.
Aside from organized religion using this notion as a means of maintaining a level of ignorance amongst their constituents which allows them to continue to sell an unworkable image of an omnipotent being, I ask: "Says who?" . . . There are no "things" that we are not supposed to know. Truth is an absolute, the knowledge gleaned from discovery further adds to what we know to be true.

It ain't logic. You're right about that.
But then, there are things we're "not supposed to understand." For some reason I just thought of a stupid joke: there's no such thing as gravity. The earth sucks. :)
