I like his idea that community and outreach and Actions help to prevent

fundamentalism. I agree. And gangsterism and vandalism, and hopelessness.

Busy hands, my abuelita used to say, kept me out of trouble. If I am cooking for an old neighbor and reading the Bible for a blind friend, then, I am too busy to be out plotting the downfall of the Mohammedans ( as my abuelita used to call them).

Ah, the good old days.
