Cruel and insensitive was often the way of the people in the church.My faith now has alot to do with the priests I know.Our local priest once made the statement that we humans are much more worried about sin than God is.God wants us to focus on love.For him and one another.

I am humbled by your reference to me
All I was trying to do was to point out a heresy by which the Church of Rome "causes ... little ones...to sin" (the RSV is much more pointed than the King James) and which should therefore be recanted. Coming from a long line of reformers (one side of my family lost their title because my ancestor became a Hugenot and was disinherited by his father), I have no shyness when it comes to reform. I sincerely hope that the Church of Rome can reform itself, but its power structure has always been a problem. Perhaps a breakup into more local churches would help. Christian churches based in major cities, like Corinth and Ephesus, was the norm in early Christianity. Take that as you will, but all I want, all any Christian wants, is for the Church too faithfully represent the Love of God shown in Christ Jesus.
