We had our wedding at his mother's apartment in Houston. I had it
catered by the local grocery store chain and wore my finest flowery dress, so it only cost me about $250 total. I've got wedding pictures around here somewhere. We have several amateur photographers in our family who love to do that service for their friends and relatives for free. We had a pastor from his mother's church do the pre-wedding counseling and perform the ceremony so it all had a homey feel to it....

I wish I could sew, but can't. There is a girl friend who is doing the flowers and that will be most helpful. I am still looking for a photographer. Whew, exciting stuff.

Yes a wedding for a young man is cheaper than the daughter, however, it is a mutually expensive occasion, but so worthwhile.
