I'm still trying to work out...
Just exactly what a blog is supposed to be.  So far I have found it should be brief.  Beyond that it appears anything goes, which is good for me, sometimes my mind is like a ping-pong ball in a paint shaker.

anything goes
as long as you are sincere. I found blogger to be curious about almost everything, you don't necessarily ned to be controversial or informative, it's being yourself that is the magnet.

Sometimes our political convictions are like boxes, isn't it?
And sometimes the boxes are so staid. So you have leftists within rightists and rightists within leftists and environmental concerns have indeed challenged our perspectives.

As far as I have been able to surmise, just about anything goes.
I like that...

Straightforward
I see no rhyme or reason to it as far as responses go.  I experiment now and then but mostly end up just writing about anything and everything in my journal blog.

My advice would be to just write
I enjoy reading and commenting on posts and my own posts are almost secondary. I do like to hone my writing skills and also the discipline of writing on Blogit but also blog elsewhere through my Fen Creative family which might give you some other ideas about more specific blogging? I'd welcome your feedback

advice..
Eat, drink, and blog, for tomorrow we may die! Looking at your "about me" page, we're obviously very differnt - I'm a 95% right-wing American nationalist agnostic who's into Nietzsche. However, there might be a tie that binds - do you by chance like Tori Amos? By the way, I'm glad my "everything else" blog about my sheepdog Percy  made you smile! Blessed Be.

I Think You Are On The Right Track

I think blogging does sharpen our minds. It gives us insight to what makes others tick. This is a form of intimacy I think as we get to know each other. It is always interesting to me as to what people will read and respond to. I always thought my business blogs would interest folks as we all face income tax issues of some kind. But it seems that poetry is what attracts people to my blogs.

People want to be entertained here at blogit. If we can combine this with some education, we can say we have success.
