Woooooow!
Actually, it was Apple and - for me (I gotta Mac). Would this window disappear eventually? Depends on if you're a giant (from the beanstalk) or a mosquiter.
Hm. By the way, just tried it, it stops after about five times.

Hi Proc
So very true!
I think your 11-year old would really enjoy that book! It encourages different thinking and the exercises are fun (like how would you draw the different emotions, without using recognizable symbols). "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain" by Betty Edwards. She's got a couple of books out there. Very highly recommended!

Kabu
If you want to go ahead and tell your story, then I will sit cross-legged before you, rapt, and listen with both ears wide open. I will even get you a glass of water so your throat doesn't parch. Doesn't matter if it's in my Comments or over at your place!
Negative space doesn't have to be negative, as in bad. Think of the negatives of a photograph. It's just a flip side. No, that's not accurate, either. It's the surrounding "empty" space surrounding a picture, a drawing, or you yourself. So, yes, a house with a troubled presence could be a negative space, but so could a house with a cheery disposition. It's outside influence. I've been doing a lot more thinking about this, but I'll save that for another post.
I'll be over for a quick visit. Hang in there!

I want to encourage my 11 year old to try
the drawing thing as he seems to have an interest in art.As far a people judging others by their actions or even immediate impressions this is so obvious in the classroom when I meet a real difficult ,angry, young destructive young person .With time and patience and attention you meet the lovely young person within.First impressions are not always the truest.

Helen dear my head is not in a good place at present with the sick mate
thing but would a negative space situation be an unhappy house. I truly believe that houses where people have been unhappy or fighting hold negativity and if you buy a house like this it can create chaos in your life. Not a ghost thing but a negative thing. A building could be the start of a story. I can nearly feel it coming. Say a large building where some mass trauma happened.....Oh shut up Kabu....this is Helen's story

Great idea... I've read the drawing book and experienced similar things..
I'm going to try your suggestion. Plastic in the sense of being flexible, not as an artificial shiny surface. Moldable. Claylike. These words are my auto-response to your graphs on creating characters using negative space instead of the "solid."
