Yes, Jacenta..........

TV is the reason our young kids are out of shape and the reason they know too much about things they shouldn't.   I don't even like it since they've allowed obscenities and sex to come on it.  There are very few programs I'll watch.

Well, I watch American Idol and Law and Order.  That's about it.

The computer is a killer too - if we're not careful.  I keep leaving it and coming back to it.  But, my husband is getting bad about spending too much time here.  He's stubborn and won't listen though, so what can I do?

As for the snow, we got about 4" of our own.  You can keep your's.  hahaha  Take care, Sweetie, and God bless.

MaggieMae...

Gooda morning sweet Maggie.  This was a captivating read. The stranger brings a lot of influences into our home invironment.  I think those with small children and teens have a great responsibility to be aware!  It was easier when it was just the flicka to content with, but now with the computer, parents can not be too careful.

Once my firstborn son about 17 then, brought home a VCR tape of a popular movie.  My younger children had their satellites open along with wide eyes as the movie began.  "Son, I instructed, "if I hear one more bad word, out comes that tape."  It was a popular movie then, but I rejected the tape he rented, returned it to the small country store saying I objected having my younger children exposed to this and could I exchange it for another.  They accommodated me and I brought home the tape, 'Riding With Miss Daisy,' and cookies and milk for a cookie party to appease my oldest son.  I remember him saying, why don't we all just watch, 'Little House On the Prairie.'  Hah-Hah  I told him, "garbage in, garbage out."  It is a big responsibility to guide and direct children, but we can only follow our heart and use our best judgement.

Good post sweet MaggieMae!!!!

How are you feeling.  I have some snow here for you if you want it! Hah-Hah    Be safe and as always, I'll catch ya later!!!PostSmile!

I know Blonde.........

It's a necessary evil.  haha

I see you have a very big need for it, so it's good you don't leave work and go home to the tv.  I can see you stay active and beautiful.

Thanks for the visit and if you don't know it by now, OFFBEATS has returned.  And, so goes the peace and quiet!  hahaha

Dear RaeS...........

Where might you be now?  Yes, anybody reading this should think it out.  Hours at the tv and the computer should be limited - they will kill you, sorry to say.  I'm as guilty as anyone.

We're getting big snow this morning - 4" total.  Then, this afternoon, it's supposed to start melting.  It is cold this morning though.

Thank you, lovely lady, for reading and commenting.  I hope you are well.

1TimeSoldier, I know........

It caught me that way too.  It really is the truth, isn't it?  I think the computer has me more than the tv now.  I love my computer.

Thanks for reading and commenting.

Maggie

Ouch!......I'm not a big fan of TV anymore.....but, I can't function without the computer

In reality, yes, I can function, but not in the business world without this crazy thing called the computer and internet.
