JanesOpinion - In that case I will say thank you but you must appreciate

why you get the responses from me that you do.

Simply put: You ask for it.

Gome in my case I don't see it as a lack of discipline
(which is what I'm thinking you were insinuating); rather, it's a decided curiosity on my part which has me returning to see what sort of ponderings y ou've come up with.  So take it as an offhanded compliment, alright?

JanesOpinion - once a week - wow that's more than I had expected
I kinda feel guilty for not having read anything that you have posted for 7 or 8 months now (no, not really). Some folks have the discipline to not read that which they dislike or that which bothers them . . . some don't have that discipline.

what the hell am I doing here, i.e. returning to your blog?

yeah, I sometimes wonder that myself -- although don't get too excited, since at most I read your blogs no more than once/week.

Perhaps it will relieve your heartburn to know that this "loony bible thumper" (etc -- short summary of the names you've given Christians) will soon be leaving blogit.  I'm too busy with the stuff of life to be blogging.

JanesOpinion - I have a question then

When you say things such as this (which you have articulated to the point of nauseum): "......because reading the same condescending, antagonistic arrogant bloggings day after day really becomes quite onerous. " . . . the question is begged in what the hell are you doing here? Seriously, you don't like what I write and even feel compelled to leave me a list of those atheists you do like, would you like to hear my list of blogging religious adherents that I like? .....no? .....didn't think so.

Gomedome, perhaps one of the reasons why

bible thumping loonies (your words, or thereabouts) are no longer allowing ourselves (I say "ourselves" since I presume that anyone who believes in the Christian God is unceremoniously lumped into this category) to be wound up by you is because reading the same condescending, antagonistic arrogant bloggings day after day really becomes quite onerous.

In spite of your wishes to the contrary, I can say for sure that your writings have done nothing to change or influence my beliefs.  The only thing you have managed to do is help me to be more aware of the thoughts and perceptions of atheists/agnostics, and for that I am truly grateful.  That said, because of the perpetual chip on your shoulder against Christians (errr, before I get slapped in the face for any of the above remarks, that is the impression I take from your writings, but I could be wrong), there are other blogit atheists I much prefer communing with, including Ariel and Nautikos.  Consider taking a lesson from them in the art of kindness.

In spite of all the above, I am quite confident you will find something to pick apart in the above paragraphs.  So pick away, dear sir, and may you find your peace in the pickings.
