Blessings, Blonde Ambition. As one who followed the head for many, many years before finding the heart (I had no clue as to how to navigate this strange vehicle) I can say without fear of contradiction, that there is no power greater than the power of the open heart. Knowledge, education, data, even wisdom - all of these can be very useful, and wonderful in their own way - but, the open heart is transcendent, transformative. The open heart cannot be taught, it cannot be learned. It can be found but, only if one is willing and only if there is Grace. MoonSpirit

proc says
I believe people are not created equal but should be all treated equal, people deserve the same things respect, love ,dignity, safety, that is until they prove otherwise.Unfortunately the world judges you on Animal Farm logic that all people are equal but some are more equal than others. When I say people are not created equally Im talking about the circumstances of your birth.

Thanks for your feedback, but I disagree......I believe that we are created, but we don't always treat people as our equals.
I hope to hear more of your views in future posts.

its a great idea
i believe that no one was created equal, for like you said then there would be no strife in life, no one would ever attempt to improve themselves and life would lose its meaning. on the otherhand i do believe that while we are not created equal, we can strive for equality.

Blonde, I don't mean to make you feel uncomfortable.
But as far as I can see you're not being a starry eyed idealist with these things you do, you're just being practical, and I think that deserves a pat on the back.
I won't compliment you anymore, you're worse than me at taking them! Can't put in a smiley face 'cos they won't load! So here's one the old fashioned way :)

I'm no Mother Teresa.....I just feel blessed to be a part of each experience and day that God has blessed me with.
Just bringing someone water or listening to them can help them out.....just caring about someone is enough sometimes.

Blonde, I agree, and you're going about it where it counts.
Putting roofs over people's heads in communities where their reality is our nightmare. I respect that, and the fact that you're matter of fact about it. You're doing what you can and making use of your resources and contacts.
I'm not going to talk about myself, I intend on making a better contribution somewhere down the line, so I'm not going to was lyrical about it, or beat myself up about what I haven't done.
But, let me say this, it's good to know that there are people like you about, quiet inspiration, making changes that can make the difference in the health and welfare of families, giving them the possibility to aspire.

That bar sounds marvellous. As does the supper club.
You can be our guide.
Then they can fish us out of the canal in the morning.

No, this is in a different spot....closer to the red light district than the naked guy on the rope. Ummmm, really close to the train station too....I can only navigate myself there by foot, not by word of mouth.....but seriously, they have great beer!......They serve it in the huge, heavy glass mugs. Lots of throw pillows, people sit on the floor surrounding by pillows....it really rocks......hey, have you heard of the supper club there? I went there last time, it was wild, I loved it. Everything in Amsterdam is amazing.

If it's that bar where you can't see the customers for the fog and they
don't actually serve that much beer - then I've been there. First non-smoker to get a secondary stoning I was.
