Yep. Werewolves have barely evolved at all.
I never really thought of them having this turmoil between industrialization and nature.  So, you got me on that one.

Found it funny how you added, "No, not zombies.  They are just icky and putrid".  Too funny.

There does seem to be melding of good and evil or, at the very least, (unless we look at the extremes), overall human intention seems to be moving in the direction of balance and a soulful search. What emerges from this increased state of awareness or process of learning can only result in a wonderful human shift.

"simply human" what an interesting paradox...
I don't believe it's simple to be human, although sometimes we long for simplicity and calm, especially when we're living in "interesting times" as the saying goes. We long for problems to be solved, confusions to be explained, and the world to be understandable. Which is why we love stories -- even stories that scare us down to our socks. In the end the beast is defeated or killed, the plot makes sense, and we can put it back on the shelf feeling a little wiser, a little more in control.

That was very interesting. I couldn't help but think of Lon Chaney Jr. in
the wolfman movies. He was good at being bad.

I didn't want to be a monster, but I did want to be in books by
Stephen King, if they were real like 'The Stand' and 'Desperation'.  I think there's something hugely wrong with me, fighting demons and allsorts, maybe I just have a Buffy complex?
