Nicely put! Especially the first part about the suit. Although I can't help being curious about past lives, I've got enough to worry about in this life without having to worry about past problems!
I read a fantastic Sci-fi shorty story once in which everyone could remember all their past lives. There were a very select few who couldn't, and they were pretty much outcasts (and bummed out that they were so different). Still, the government started to round them up, because they wanted to know how they did it - how they were able to forget past lives. No one was able to get on with their present lives because of their former identities (one fairly decent individual got strung up for being a villain a few hundred years back).
