Hi Tony

"With coloured petals and lush greenery/With which the harlot world’s so finely decked", had never occurred on my 'dutty' mind! Thanks for the swell and a lovely sonnet as well. Takin' poetic liberties.

My network has gone mad the last 4 days.

The Sonnet sings of Spring Tony and the rebirth of the warm Emotions that breeze in with the first of the Seasons. Full very of cleaver twists and turns for the readers imagination. Very enjoyable read, thank you for posting, great imagery also

Tony
Today is the beginning of the Lenten season; a season of preparation and hope of resurrection. The real resurrection is in eternal cycle of rebirth as we celebrate the birth of seasons. An apt post!!!

Tony

I knew you could do it...  what a wonderful sonnet.  I especially liked the line: A numbed imagination; in effect, - positioning spring as a season which offers (as I said yesterday) a rebirth of some nature.  And that is does.

I reread it to let it sink in, I really, really like it, it's the promise
of better days.

Sounds a bit like a classic to me.
How're you?  Just heading to bed, Rowan's tired me out, she was going around wearing a plastic pot on her head & banging it, took her a while to get tired, took me less time.
