Go to Malcolm's midwife: Words from the heart

I always found the travels I took with just one kid along to be
wonderfully rewarding for both of us! It was time they could just have me as mom, and not as referee, and I could have them as individuals, instead of sparring partners!

Man, you really know how to do a "Father and Son" day right! Your day with Christian sounded like a total blast!

I just read your railway lines post and I thought it was fabulous! Your skillful use of metaphor was especially pleasing to read.

A father who is plugged in these days with his kids is really hard to find. You're doing something very special for your kids and family. I am just now beginning to realize my impact on my family as well. Have a great Sunday and thanks for your kind words in my post.

Hi Malcolm-
I had to come visit after you commented on my "Lay You Down" blog. I did some editing on the piece and came to see just who this malcolm gent is! Are you a romantic sort like the guy in the song? Lucky wife then! I thought this piece was cheery and up-beat. It sounds as if you've got a lucky little boy to have such a fine dad! Those are the days memories are made from.

Chocolate croissants yum
The last place I had them was most unexpected - a remote tropical island where I was working last year.
I look at the empty bed when my son is away and pride myself that my son has the life skills to go out into the world.
