Sweet poem, Helen. I hope you gave it to your husband. . . , and I hope that he received it well.

Hi Helen
Just loved the 'stirring of the cooking pot'. You said it exquisitely.

Helen, sitting here in my robe, stringy hair, and sexless pj's thinking
I'm so damned hot, if he doesn't love me I'm sure there's an army of guerilla fighters in some sweaty jungle who haven't seen a woman for months who will.
Lovely, well put together poem for today's woman, I identify, except he stirs the cooking pot.

Of course! Gave it to him yesterday with a bottle of wine (haven't opened it yet).
Au contraire, the longer the wait, the sweeter the read! Well, at least I'll know where to look for it! Your other blogs were quite clear! Of course, you're right - Mr. Blogit should invest as much time in his bloggers as they do him! Having only joined in December 2006, I really had no idea!

Helen, that's a beautiful poem. I hope you've shown it to your hubby.
Must remember to post that 'bats' poem that I promised. It'll be an anti-climax now, having built it up by the wait.

Thank you. I think it's applicable to a lot of couples with children. It puts a lot of stress on the relationship, but if you can pull through, then it's that much stronger.

This poem is, in part, also for you and The Man Who Draws. It must be so wonderful to watch your grandchildren grow and to still love each other after so many years!
