Kooka.....
As I’ve said many times, I do think that people often do get too caught up in the ritual, doctrines, and dogma of religion or even anti-religion. I think that families should devote time to being together……taking a hike and picnic out into the woods……..going down to hang out on the beach together……I remember building sand castles with my children when they were small. We would dig tunnels and build bridges and post little flags and make moats…it was great together time…….families need more of the intimate times together and less of the run run run and rush to be here or there or somewhere else. Don’t get me wrong, ethical morality and deep spirituality is essential, but it is often conveyed most effectively in these quite times of intimate family togetherness.

kooka_lives - there is so much more to learn in life than religion
I feel sorry for kids that are brought up in a household that eats, sleeps and breaths religion. Kids want to do what kids do, I have yet to meet one that prefers praying to fishing, or reading the bible over video games as examples. I have also yet to meet one that is better off for being denied these things while growing up. Moderation in all things is the key.
