Happens here in the UK too...
I am sick of automated messages apologising to me for the fault. I pay for my services, I want to be able to use them, or be refunded for the days when the service is down. It's simple - at a cafe, I'd only pay for lunch on the days I ate it there, I certainly wouldn't pay on days I couldn't eat there because they were closed. It should be the same with my cable - no service, no charge.

you are right on that one and they are always apologizing when they have to keep putting you on hold. I think the companies need to realize this is not customer service, its just putting money in their pockets and frustrating customers

If we could only understand them.....
half of the time.....and usually they are reading from a playbook...because many of this companies contract for several different companies.....so one person man be answering complaints for 4 or 5 different companies.........
I called in complaining about my Vonage account and the guy (w/poor English) started talking to me about Sprint.....Uhhhhh...so sorry, wrong book!

Companies who provide services forget as they grow larger that customer service is the best service they can offer. I get upset with them too...
