I agree, it'll be interesting to see what develops there, although I don't think anything terribly dramatic will happen. Most of the neighbours will remain quietly resentful, some will accept it, and a few may move. I'm sure the mosque wil be reasonably attractive in appearane, and will be well maintained.

And the imam will go about his business, forging 'instruments' for Allah...

It will interesting to follow its progress after completion. I have to wonder how well the mosque will fare after six months or a year. Getting a seal of approval from a council is much different than getting approval from your neighbors. Any specific information about the neighborhood it's being set-up in?

Remember what this fellow Anjem Choudary said to his BBC interviewer not too long ago? "Who says that you own Britain anyway? Britain belongs to Allah. The whole world belongs to Allah."

That's their attitude! I do blame our politicians, at all levels, for allowing this plague to spread...
