How great to know you guys are out there. And
Heavenly, while I'm not in the ancient :) catagory
yet, I've lived more years than I've got left
so the time thing gets more real as the days pass.

Just so.
I agree with you wholeheartedly. Personally, I could care less where I stand in the rankings -- I come here to write, and get some of the chaos out of my head. As for the rest, well, as they say, in a hundred years, no one is going to give a damn. Well said, and one of the reasons why I keep you on my 'to be read' list.

Cynthia,

Having never before read any of your work (still a rookie and as such also still browsing) I find this piece intriguing, not only because I share your love of gift shopping, and giving, in the same almost selfish way for the joy it brings me, but also because I, too, love to write. Your last paragraph however makes you sound like quite the ancient one!  I hope you are not ill and battling against time! On the other hand, I am a very fun-loving, silly sort of gal in most areas of my life. I try not to take anything more seriously than I must by necessity.

Anyway, very nice to make your acquaintence. I will try to catch up and do a little research on you. It seems you have quite the following, leading me to believe that I could learn from your very serious take on the whole writing thing, and that you must be very talented. I look forward to reading more as my (also very limited) time permits. Blessings, HH

Cynthia
I missed it. But, whatever it was, you know you are my favorite writer here because you bare your soul and I am awed by that -  something I have a hard time doing.  Not only that, your stories are terribly interesting and well written.  MissyJ

Cynthia...

If it is any consolation to you... it was obvious at least to Crabby what DOH was doing.... how could it not be??? Your writing is excellent. (he even deleted Crabby's comment regarding his attempting to create a paradoxical effect).... silly boy!

Nice analogy on your writing

I think you do well and with this blog at #24 I don't see a problem. I was running well for awhile with four blogs in the top 100 and now I have slacked off and changed my style and I have dropped out completely oh well just $3.00 to break even and I am out of here.

Negative postings are a waste of time..
I for one prefer to read stories and clear cut opinions rather than all the nonsensical criticisms that are just a waste of time. Give me narrative accounts rather than the chronic complaints and nitpicking that are posted under the guise of creative writing and used only to boost ratings.
