Friends are like family
Good friends are like family and when you loose touch it is because we take their friendship for granted, expecting that they will always be around. I too have friends dear friends that I have lost touch with and ten years later I still think about how they are, if they died I would also mourn.

Friends
Your family is the close circle you keep around you at the present. You can’t stay in touch with everyone you have ever met, because you would just suffer from emotional overload. I think the brain is programmed to try and move on for our own mental survival.
